Hummingbird at the Feeder and another Cottage Visitor

What a pleasure it was to spend several hot, sunny August days at a cottage in the Kawartha Lakes region.

What should we do next? Take out the paddle boat for a leisurely ride? Take a walk in the lovely White Oak forest? Take the motor boat out to the sand bar and swim? Have a look at Green Herons and Belted Kingfishers in the nearby marsh? Drive to Lakefield for a gourmet supper at Cassis Bistro?

Or just sit on one of the decks or out on the lawn and enjoy life?

The loudest sound we hear is the whirring of hummingbird wings. I captured the visit of a Ruby-throated Hummingbird in photographs:
