The Only Remaining Covered Bridge in Ontario

Just north of Waterloo there is a covered bridge which locals call the Kissing Bridge. I can imagine that, during the horse and buggy days, couples would take a little more time than usual crossing the Grand River on this bridge.

Horse and buggy are still a common sight here.

NATURE POETRY

As we traveled along in our horse and buggy

The air smelled heavy with dew

Our horses were tired and hungry

And most of us were too

We only have a days travel at least

we might as well rest for a bit

So I set up camp by this covered bridge

and decided to have a sit. – Andrew Ross
