Snowy Owl Near St. Isadore, Québec: March 2022

My plan on this wet snow / rain day was to explore parts of La Rivière de La Chaudière which empties into the St. Lawrence near Quebec City.

I wasn’t having much luck finding birds until I noticed two crows far out in a snowy field near St. Isadore.

As you can see, the crows did not appreciate the presence of a Snowy Owl.

I stopped the car and waited quite a while in the rain hoping that the owl might fly. It did not.

Long lenses have other uses besides photographing birds. I visited the arena in Ste. Marie de Beauce to watch a pewee hockey game featuring a nephew.

The cock is crowing,
The stream is flowing,
The small birds twitter,
The lake doth glitter.            – William Wordsworth (1770-1850)
