The large parking lot at Serena Gundy Park also serves Wilket Creek Park and Sunnybrook Park.
This parking lot is a mecca for those who enjoy feeding birds. Over the years, many feeders have been strung up or nailed up:











These feeders are regularly stocked by interested nature observers and today I saw many of the usual clients:



















What I wasn’t expecting were Mallards:


A lady continuously threw cups of crushed corn to the approximately 75 who were present. This must be a regular occurrence.
Good news on the feeding front travels quickly and a Pekin Duck is now front and centre of the action:
