While driving to Québec City from Trois-Rivières, I stopped three times to take some photos.
1) A little beach on the south shore of the St. Lawrence near Bécancour.

MYSTERY BIRD
I will identify it at the end of the post.

Stop 1 continued:

2) A field off a rural road:

3) The St. Lawrence west of Québec City at dusk and low tide:

MYSTERY BIRD
The darkish back and white eye ring identify this as a Solitary Sandpiper.

NATURE POETRY
Give the face of earth around and the road before me,
wealth I ask not hope nor love nor a friend to know me.
All I ask the heaven above, and the road below me. – Robert Louis Stevenson

Thanks! Lovely! Just did that route ourselves 2 weeks ago.
Keep going next time to the most beautiful scenery you’ll see. We went as far as Tadoussac again this time.
Lots of wildlife, whales, Group of 7 tributes, and jaw dropping views. Even some unusual wildlife in Baie St Paul ( home of Cirque de Soleil) thanks to some Unique clowns
Well, I got the “Sandpiper” part!
Beautiful pictures. Thanks, Miles!
