With the sun shining, I headed to Humber Bay to see what I might find.
Male Buffleheads, who usually appear black and white, were showing glorious coulour:

The Buffleheads were very active as usual:

Redpolls were also present eating their preferred foods: Goldenrod and Alder seeds:

NATURE POETRY
The holly and the ivy,
When they are both full grown,
Of all the trees that are in the wood,
The holly bears the crown.
The rising of the sun
And the running of the deer,
The playing of the merry organ,
Sweet singing in the choir. Traditional Carol (1823)
Miles Hearn
Thanks for the Wayfaring Tree, Miles! The rest is enchanting, even the Hawk, enchanted with those delightful birds…and I always love those beautiful Winter Ducks! Thanks, Miles!
Great shots of the Buffleheads and interesting how the water appears In patterns of blue and grey around them.
