Long-eared Owl at Col. Sam Smith Park: Jan. 14, 2023

It was a chilly -10 this morning at Col. Sam Smith Park. This is a good park for Snowy Owl spotting

but we did not see one. Our first bird was a Long-eared Owl well-hidden in the middle of a dense shrub. Almost everyone had a look at it.

I thought you might want to check out the giant river otter which we saw in Brazil’s Pantanal.
A large and very intimidating and fierce creature. ( big serrated teeth!)
