Toronto has a parking lot at Wilket Creek Park which has many birdfeeders. Even ducks and the occasional woodchuck visit it.
I found something similar about a 20 minute drive from downtown Ottawa and visited it recently on a very rainy morning.
There were fewer species than at Wilket during my visit. No cardinals, red-bellied woodpeckers, juncos or nuthatches. But, the most exciting find was exciting indeed! A pair of female evening grosbeaks. I seldom see these gorgeous, large goldfinch-looking birds. Previously, here is only photo that I have ever taken:
