Pekin Duck and an Ice Warning: Feb 23, 2022

If you are planning an outdoor walk on nature trails in the near future, you should be aware that conditions are very treacherous with solid, thick ice in many places. Grippers for your boots are a good idea.

We had a Pekin Duck this morning at Humber Bay.

Pekin Duck

The Pekin is an American breed of domestic duck raised primarily for meat. It derives from birds brought to the United States from China in the nineteenth century.

Some escape from captivity and are seen in our waterways.
