Earl Rowe served as the 20th Lieutenant of Ontario from 1963 to 1968.

The park, near Alliston consists of a river:

Thomas Gordon, the first postmaster, named this community supposedly after his father’s hometown in England. It may instead have been named for a farm or home, because no Everett is shown on modern maps of Britain.

    Everett was at the centre of a long and contentious fight by a residents group against a new gravel pit to be opened and operated by Nelson Aggregates. The Pit was approved by the previous council of Adjala-Tosorontio Township in March 2018 after the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB) dismissed the groups appeal
