With all of the rain overnight and this morning, it didn’t look like i would be able to hike anywhere today. Then around 2 pm, the skies cleared up and I headed to York Mills and Bayview to visit this park which runs south along Wilket Creek. By the end, it was so warm (17 degrees) that I removed my jacket.
It is time to bring out my botany field guides once again as many plants are starting to show:

Migrating birds included Golden-crowned Kinglets, Red-winged Blackbirds and a Song Sparrow.
There were even a few flies:
