Buffalo-berry & Thousands of Red-breasted Mergansers at Scarborough Bluffs (10 am & 1 pm groups) /November 5, 2019

In all of the places that I visit in the Toronto area, the only one which has Buffalo-berry is the beach area at Scarborough Bluffs. Here there are clay stream banks and moist thickets which are perfect habitat for it:

NATURE POETRY

Now the beautiful business of summer is over,
Earth wraps herself in a bright, leaf-patterned shawl.
The hives cement the prodigal juice of the clover
And spendthrift gold is hoarded in bin and stall.    – Jean S. Untermeyer (1886–1970)

I am not a “fan” of free roaming cats (feral or domestic) as they kill millions of birds each year in Canada and the USA
