I thought you would be interested in this set of six photos I took last Wednesday when we were at the Rouge. They were taken about the same time you had spotted and were photographing the eastern blue bird.
So my husband observed the sequence while I shot it and in the very first frame the tree swallows, that were fighting for the nesting box, I presume, did something I never even knew happened. One swallow yanked the feather out of the other swallows chest. Have you ever heard of that happening? Wished I had had it on video
