Recently, in several of our parks, bat boxes have been hung on tall poles:
Our group saw one this morning in a western park that has some handiwork by a non-bat.
A female Downy Woodpecker has been busy creating an opening to this tempting area for her own purposes.

Our friends, we visited in Vernon, BC, brought us to a local dump where dozens of eagles and ravens were hunting.
