Red-tailed Hawk in the Sky at the Bluffs: Nov. 9, 2022

Red-tailed Hawks are found all over North America, the Caribbean and into Mexico. This is partly because of their adaptability to just about any type of open habitat. This includes desert, scrublands, grasslands, roadsides, fields and pastures, parks, broken woodland, and (in Mexico) tropical rainforest. (allaboutbirds)

We had a close fly-by by one this morning.

NATURE POETRY

The small red maple leaves, keen-scented, mute,
Here fleck the stream, to grape-dark purple hushed.   – Bliss Carman (1861–1929)
