When Princess Zenaida Laetitia Julie Bonaparte was born on 8 July 1801, in Paris, Île-de-France, France, her father, Joseph Napoleone Bonaparte King of Naples and Spain, was 33 and her mother, Marie Julie Clary, was 29. She married Charles Jules Laurent Lucien Bonaparte on 29 June 1822, in Brussels, Belgium. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 9 daughters. She died on 8 August 1854, in Election Precinct 1 Kingdom, Bibb, Alabama, United States, at the age of 53, and was buried in Santa Maria in Via, Rome, Roma, Lazio, Italy. (ancestors.com)
Charles was an ornithologist, and he named the Zenaida doves after Princess Zenaida. We saw several of these doves, commonly known as Mourning Doves, today.
