Although I grew up near the Scarborough Bluffs I do not remember ever seeing a Turkey Vulture here. One had to drive to Rattlesnake Point near Milton to do that. These days there are many Turkey Vultures in our area during the warmer months. Of the hawk-like birds, only Eagles surpass Turkey Vultures in wingspan: 80 inches to 67 inches.
We have seen vultures here during all three of this week’s walks.
