I came here this morning as many interesting birds are being reported.
Greater Black-capped Gull, Bald Eagle, Common Redpoll, Pine Siskin, White-winged Crossbill and Pine Grosbeak were all reported yesterday.
I wasn’t the only birder:
However, the birding gods were not with me. Here is what I was able to photograph:
Cap-Rouge, just west of Quebec City, is described in French as “lieu de villégiature” or “a place for a holiday.”
NATURE POETRY
Demain, dès l’aube, à l’heure où blanchit la campagne,
Je partirai. Vois-tu, je sais que tu m’attends.
J’irai par la forêt, j’irai par la montagne.
Je ne puis demeurer loin de toi plus longtemps. – Victor Hugo
Tomorrow, at Dawn
Tomorrow, at dawn, at the hour when the countryside whitens,
I will depart. You see, I know you wait for me.
I will go through the forest and over the mountains.
I cannot stay far from you any longer. (translation)
Miles Hearn
