Dawn and a Mockingbird at Humber Bay: January 22, 2022

In our area, on January 22, twilight begins at 7:11:57 am and sunrise is at 7:41:34 am. Sunrise is now about 5 minutes earlier than it was on December 21 – the shortest day of the year.

I was at Humber Bay well ahead of our 8 am walk and took these photos:

There are a great many Oriental Bittersweet vines at Humber Bay.

The supply of orange berries enables several mockingbirds to winter here. I photographed one this morning.

Hey Miles, today I grabbed a few photos of you with your camera and the skyline as a backdrop. They’re just from my camera phone so they’re not extremely hi-resolution, but I thought I’d share!

With footsteps quiet and slow,

What stunningly spectacular pictures of an incredibly gorgeous dawn!
That’s one of the things I liked best about Saturday walks in particular. Seeing the sun rise!
