Scarecrows and Birds on Wires: July 2021

I enjoyed a recent drive along little travelled country roads.

At one point, I came across these two very lifelike scarecrows.

Every time I saw a bird on a wire, I tried to get a photo and succeeded with these:

Eastern Kingbird
Mourning Dove
American Goldfinch (male)
Yellow Warbler (female)
Mourning Dove
American Robin

Late Goldenrod (Solidago gigantea) despite the name, this is one of the earliest goldenrods to flower.

MYSTERY BIRD

The crest helps identify this as a Cedar Waxwing.
