There are many species of goldenrod flowering in September. if you see one in flower in early July it is most likely the well-named Early Goldenrod. They can also be seen flowering right through to October.
Lac-Leamy is located just to the south of the Gatineau River, and just west of the Ottawa River, and is linked to both of them with flowing in from the Gatineau and exiting to the Ottawa. This is a well-known name in Québec because of the Casino du Lac-Leamy.
The park lies between the lake and a busy highway and has many paved trails and a beach.
