I haven’t seen any kinglets for several weeks and assumed that their migration was mostly complete. And yet here was a little group of about 6 scurrying in the shrubbery overhead on this -3 degree, overcast morning. That golden “crown” is unmistakable.
Species list: mute swan, Canada goose, mallard, gadwall, bufflehead, long-tailed duck, red-breasted merganser, ring-billed gull, black-capped chickadee, golden-crowned kinglet, northern cardinal, American tree sparrow. (12 species)
