I’ve had some frightening experiences over the years with moose appearing in front of the car at night. Many tragic accidents have happened because of this and major highways in parts of Quebec have special fences lining the expressways to prevent such awful occurrences.
Near Nipigon we came across this female moose and I took a few photos:
