Cedar Trail: Rouge Park

The first half or so of the Cedar Trail follows the Little Rouge Creek:

The lower section has many cedar trees:

White-cedar (Thuja occidentalis)

White-cedar cones (Thuja occidentalis)

The trail then climbs to a mature forest:

There is a smaller stream in this area:

There are many beech trees and some Beech-drops which grows upon the roots of Beech:

Beech-drops (Epifagus virginiana)

Eventually you reach a man-made wetland:
